Natalie Roper, AIA, RID | Founder & Principal
—
With over a decade of commercial and residential design experience, Natalie is accustomed to delivering high-caliber design while balancing tight budgets and fast-paced construction. With a broad range of project types in her portfolio ranging from wineries to multi-family residential, she has gathered tips and tricks for elevating the design of any space no matter the budget. Her goal as a designer is to combine her experience with construction and her knowledge of how real people live and work to deliver beautiful spaces. Her favorite design challenges are those that require creative solutions and ingenuity to elevate an existing space or place.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Natalie received her Masters in Architecture at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. After college, she lived and worked in Portland, Oregon where she broke into the industry as an architectural intern and gained exposure to a wide variety of project types across the Pacific Northwest. Her career led her to Texas where she acquired both her Architectural and Interior Design licenses, built a strong foundation of corporate architecture experience, and began her studio, Joseph Blake, in 2021.
Natalie now considers Austin, Texas home, along with her husband, Marcus, their daughter, Diana, two cats, Lady Bird and Myrtle, and their two dogs, Oscar and Luckenbach. When she’s not working on her next design project, you can find her enjoying live music, going for a run around the lake, or checking out Austin’s newest restaurants.
